An opportunity to volunteer along with the volunteering team and the Friends of Linthorpe Cemetery and Nature Reserve.

We will meet at the Student Life Reception Desk and we will all walk together (it takes around 20-25 minutes) to Linthorpe Cemetery. 

Volunteering will include things like litter picking, cleaning windows, maintaining the area and car park, clipping, weeding, planting, painting - a whole range of tasks and duties. 

Please bring a lunch and drink with you although there will be cake, tea and biscuits when we stop at lunchtime.

Remember to dress appropriately for the weather. 

The volunteering team have met with the Friends of the Cemetery and what a lovely group of welcoming people they are. You are made to feel like part of the team straight away. Everyone is happy to chat and share their stories. A great sense of community spirit and belonging. We left the meeting with big smiles on our faces and can't wait to help them on the 16th July.  You will meet new people and will feel like part of a team.
